The burger obsession started with one man, one onion, and a recipe nobody asked him to share.
Marco Morrow grew up with two things pulling at him: an Italian/Lebanese heritage that took food seriously, and an Oklahoma that had been perfecting the fried-onion burger since the Dust Bowl. His wife Meredith is from El Reno, the fried-onion burger capital of the world. That's not a coincidence. That's a calling.
MOB stands for Marco's Onion Burgers. The onions are soaked in a marinade that stays in the family, char-pressed into fresh Black Angus ribeye that's sourced locally and never, under any circumstances, frozen. That's not a suggestion. That's a rule. The buns get griddled with mustard, a technique Marco learned from his uncle Ed Thomas, founder of Big Ed's Hamburgers. The fries are hand-cut to order. The buns come from La Baguette Bakery in Norman.
